Moving an iconic piece of Reno history to its new home

Gilbert-Humphrey House
Enroute to its new home at Arlington and St. Lawrence, Reno

The Gilbert/Humphrey House, originally located at 127 E. Eighth Street, is being moved Sunday morning to its new homestead at the corner of St. Lawrence and Arlington Avenues in the southwest Reno.

The house is an example of the Asian-influenced Craftsman construction style. The home’s new owners, Tim and Nancy Gilbert, are related to Frances Humphrey, who lived in the house from her childhood through her death in 2001.
