Bad Accident at Disc and Vista in the north valley

White SUV headed north on Vista crossed over and struck the blue Mustang head on.

A young lady driver in a blue Mustang was stopped in the southbound Vista left turn lane at Disc Drive Monday night.  Suddenly a large white SUV headed north on Vista entered the intersection, but for some reason the driver lost control.  His SUV veered over to the left, jumped the center divide and rammed the Mustang, punching it back a good 30′ from the left turn lane it was sitting in.  The SUV driver lost control and his vehicle rolled up on its side, still in the north bound lane.

Blue Mustang waiting to turn left was hit hard.

Police say neither driver was injured.  The driver of the SUV is expected to be cited for causing the accident.  His insurance company is going to be writing some big checks and his insurance rates will likely rise substantially.  Again, nobody hurt.

Traffic was being re-routed all over the place as other commuters strugged to get home.

The vehicles were towed and Vista Blvd was reopened shortly after 7pm.

SUV coming through intersection drifted over the divider and rammed the Mustang.

Traffic on Vista was blocked for well over an hour.
